In March 2007, Ann Murphy began working as Home School Community Liaison teacher in St. Joseph’s Mercy Primary School. The HSCL scheme aimed to support the parents of children attending St. Joseph’s and bring them closer to their children’s learning.
In the autumn of 2007, the Sisters of Mercy kindly donated money to St. Joseph’s to refurbish the ‘Green Room’ as a Parents’ Room. The refurbishment was completed on January 29th 2008 and parents now have a beautiful room to call their own.

As you know Ms. Murphy is no longer our Home School Liaison Teacher and she returned to the classroom in September. This is one of the effects of the cutbacks imposed on us last year by the Government.
We would like to thank Ms. Murphy for all of her hard work and encourage parents to continue their participation in their children's education.
