During the month of October every year we raise money for the Zambian Mission. On Wednesday, 23rd October our three sixth classes and their teachers organised a Bake Sale to raise money to support the work of the Mercy Sisters on the Zambian Mission. The children made posters to advertise the event in advance. They were very busy baking in the days before the event! The children set up early on Wednesday morning and got ready to sell their buns to all of the classes. The children in all of the classes around the school bought lots of buns and really enjoyed them! Other events organised by sixth classes on the day were ‘How many sweets in the jar?’ and ‘Guess the name of the doll’. The day was a great success thanks to the hard work and generosity of staff and children. The event raised just over €760 which has been given to Sr. Marie Louise Moore for the Zambian Mission. Well done everyone!
