Pupils from 2nd to 6th classes gathered today to celebrate Mass in celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy. As a Mercy school, we promote the values of kindness, compassion, gentleness and inclusivity. These values are central to our school ethos. Today, one pupil from each class, from Junior Infants to sixth class, was given the Mercy Award. This award is given annually to children in our school who are especially kind and helpful to others. Well done to everyone who was involved in our Mercy Day celebrations and we thank especially our chaplain, Fr. Noel Weir, who came to Joseph’s today to celebrate Mass.
