We were delighted to welcome Sr. Celestine and Towela to St. Joseph’s Mercy Primary School on Friday, 9th May. Towela is visiting Ireland from Mazabuka in Zambia. Sr. Celestine, who worked for many, many years in Mazabuka brought Towela to our school to introduce her to the children and teachers in St. Joseph’s. Sr. Celestine was delighted to share her memories of Mazabuka with all of us, and especially with Ms. Hogan and Ms. Caffrey who worked with Sr. Celestine in Mazabuka in the early 2000s. We were delighted to present Towela with donations from the school and from the Parents’ Association for the education and care of some of the boys and girls of the Mazabuka Mission.
